A New Evaluation Method of The Fault Recovery Scheme for Medium-low Voltage DC Distribution Network

In order to evaluate the comprehensive performance of the fault recovery schemes for medium-low voltage DC distribution network in terms of rapidity, power restoration, economy etc. A new evaluation method of the fault recovery scheme for medium-low voltage DC distribution network is proposed which combine Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). Firstly, five related recovery evaluation indexes are defined, including the power supply of load recovery, DC voltage maximum offset, time to power recovery, the margin of distribution network capacity, the number of switching operations. Secondly, AHP is used to determine the relative weight of the recovery evaluation indexes, at the same time, TOPSIS is used to calculate the comprehensive performance values of each fault recovery schemes, combined the weight of recovery evaluation indexes with the actual value of recovery evaluation indexes for distribution network under different fault recovery schemes. Finally, the proposed algorithm is well verified by the cases of medium-low voltage DC distribution network of Suzhou.
