A Garden of Cyber Physical Systems: Requirements, Challenges, and Implementation Aspects

With the integration of cyber and physical components with a closed loop, cyber physical systems (CPS) offer a wide range of applications in our daily lives and industrial fields. To deploy these applications, a diverse set of requirements and challenges should be addressed. Their popularity also introduces severe security threats due to the inherent vulnerabilities of the wireless transmission environment. In this article, we focus on the specific requirements and challenges of the main applications of CPS with a security perspective. Elaborating on the 5G flower concept, we extend CPS applications to a garden. We als
