Nonenhancing breast malignancies on MRI: sonographic and pathologic correlation.

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to describe the sonographic appearance and histopathologic basis of those malignancies of the breast that show non-enhancement on MRI. CONCLUSION Breast malignancies with suspicious features on sonography may not be detected on MRI due to non-enhancement of the lesions. In such cases, we suggest the use of tissue sampling to differentiate between benign and malignant breast lesions.
