A Study of Language Attitudes in Two Creole-Speaking Islands: San Andres and Providence (Colombia).

El objetivo de este estudio era evaluar las actitudes linguisticas en las islas de San Andres y Providencia (Colombia) desde una perspectiva comparativa. Las variables sociolinguisticas analizadas fueron: edad, genero, etnicidad, ocupacion, lugar de residencia y conocimiento de los idiomas. Los participantes en ambas islas revelaron actitudes similares, en general favorables hacia los tres idiomas (ingles estandar caribeno, criollo isleno y espanol colombiano) y hacia el multilinguismo.
