The invention discloses a start-up protection method and a start-up protection device for commissioning of electric equipment. A start-up protection device 2n for the current setting, delay and execution of the electric equipment is adopted; an A phase current relay, a B phase current relay, a C phase current relay and a D phase zero sequence current relay which are adopted by setting currents are used for setting the currents of the electric equipment; logic current values for commissioning is set to be more than or equal to 1; current signals of which the set logic current values are more than or equal to 1 are delayed; the delayed current signals are transmitted to a trip executing device; the trip executing device makes platens of a first group of trip outlets LP1 and a second group of trip outlets LP2 of a protection screen control loop of the electric equipment simultaneously input by using an execution relay so as to protect the protection screen control loop. The start-up protection method and the start-up protection device can realize an adaptive input supply power, visually and conveniently set the currents, avoid error setting of constant values caused by human factors, have fast inspection time and high working efficiency, are easy to operate and reduce the labor intensity of workers.
