Aetiology and treatment of persistent middle-ear effusion

Les explorations fonctionnelles qui tentent d'expliquer la predisposition ou la persistance de la maladie par un dysfonctionnement tubaire sont non physiologiques ou ne permettent pas de conclure. La possibilite du role etiologique d'une reaction immune complexe est envisagee. A court terme le tube de ventilation est un complement indispensable de la paracentese. A long terme, peuvent survenir des rechutes necessitant non seulement des intubations repetees mais aussi une tympanoplastie. L'adenoidectomie est, dans les publications recentes, condamnee
