Controlling of Brushless DC Motor Based on Particle Swarm Optimization Controller

To deal with the methods in optimal controller design for BLDCM servo system,a novel proportional-integral-derivative(PID) controller design method was proposed based on particle swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm.By combining the principle of PSO and control strategy for BLDCM servo system,the procedures for optimal PID controller design were achieved.Considering overall evaluation of the system performance,a new evaluation strategy was introduced during the optimization processes.The simulation and experimental results show that the proposed method can locate the optimal or near optimal parameter space,the optimized PID controller has rapid response and low overshoot,and can effectively improve the dynamic performance for the servo system.
