The recent popularity of whistle-blowing as a research topic has results in numerous publications attempting to identify the variables and antecedent conditions related to an individual act of whistle-blowing. Following suit this paper proposes that two individual characteristics, cognitive moral development and organizational commitment, will affect the likelihood of an individual engaging in whistle-blowing behavior.
