한지를 활용한 문화상품개발 방안 연구

Interests and efforts towards the development of cultural products has been insignificant in the advanced industrialized society and the cultural industry that failed to overcome the limitations of the expressions of the materials and the materials themselves had been lagging behind other areas. Due to the impact of the Hanryu over the recent years, the value of the cultural industry was recognized and culture is undergoing transition of the concept as something capable of generating wealth. This Study aims to advance the cultural products using Hanji as a representative industry of the future of Korea as the means of activation of local economy and fortification of the national competitiveness by research their development and establishing means of utilization. Among these, the development of the cultural products using Hanji, equipped with the national characteristics and tradition will be proceeded into the development of a diverse range of products with well-being functions by maximally utilize the advantages of Hanji and by grafting modern technologies and designs. Hanji knits and Hanji leather were manufactured by using Hanji. Request for the analysis of the research specimen was made to specialized institution. 2D and 3D designs rather than the existing manufacturing formats were used for the manufacturing of the cultural products by developing the manufacturing techniques through industry-academia cooperation. Through such research, it was possible to establish the foundation for the sustainable progress of the traditional cultural industry, improvement of the qualitative level of cultural products and expand the domain of designs by establishing the development process for the cultural products. Researches on the development of cultural products using Hanji must be pursued continuously to make contributions towards the advancement and sound growth of the Hanji industry in Korea, and as the new growth engine for the Hanji and cultural product development companies.
