Optimization method of central lighting arrangement in the middle section of tunnel

The illuminance of tunnel pavement directly depends on the lighting arrangement parameters of tunnel lighting system. The lighting arrangement parameters have an important influence on traffic safety and energy consumption for tunnel lighting system. The conventional lighting arrangement method, which is proposed by Fan Shijuan is to establish a nonlinear programming (NP) model. However, the method does not take full advantage of the luminous flux for optimization. Based on the NP method, we deduce that the minimum illuminance point (MIP) on pavement is located at the midpoint of roadside between lamps in the central lighting. Then we further improve and optimize the NP method, and put forward a new optimization model of lamp arrangement parameters which takes the mounting space of lamps as the optimization parameter. Finally, taking Fengdian Tunnel as example, which is at Chengdu-Nanchong Highway, the simulations by DIALUX verify the effectiveness of the presented method. Our method aims at achieving the purpose of tunnel lighting energy saving and reducing the total cost of the project.
