Monitoring and estimation of tobacco drying variables for process modelling.

In this work, a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) based monitoring system for the tobacco drying process is proposed and tested. Energetic, electric and physic variables were considered in order to propose a model for this process, and a set of visualization and calculation tools were developed in order to analyse these data. Finally a mathematical estimator was proposed to predict the temperature inside the tobacco mass in order to know the connection among the variables and so as to reduce the number of sensors needed to monitor the process.
