Full Range Nonlinear Aerostatics Analysis for Long-Span Cable-Stayed Bridge

A new method which is used to solve wind-induced lateral torsional buckling problem for long-span cable-stayed bridges is proposed. Nonlinear influences caused by structural and aerostatic load are included in this method. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the accuracy and effectiveness of this new method. Finally, the effects of the angle of incidence and cable sag on aerostatic stability of long-span cable-stayed bridge are discussed.
