A Quantitative Assessment on Team Building Criteria for Software Project Teams

The study of software projects teams has acquired space in both industry and academy. However, the criteria identified as relevant to build teams are still the subject of researches. This article describes a qualitative research performed with 48 software projects with aim to verify the relation between eight team building criteria and the success or failure of these projects. According to the results, the formal use of seven of the team building criteria can favor project performance, while one of the criteria was refuted.
