Occupancy detection using radar noise floor

Doppler radar is used as an occupancy sensor for motion detection. An existing system-on-chip with custom made baseband board is employed for developing the radio. A 2.4 GHz continuous wave Doppler radar sensor is used for detecting occupancy over empty room based on different time domain root mean square (RMS) values.
