Non-linear frequency-domain analysis of microwave circuits through rational-functions modelling

A non-linear frequency-domain analysis method for microwave circuits has been implemented and an efficient algorithm has been developed in an in-house simulator. The algorithm exploits a rationalfunction representation of the non-linearities of the active device. Such representation allows for great accuracy, high simulation speed and limited memory requirements. Comparisons with a commercial CAD package utilising standard non-linear analysis methods confirm the accuracy of the proposed approach. Performances are promising especially for multitone analysis.
