1959년 태권도 교본과 1961년 체육대사전에 수록된 태껸 기술의 비교분석

In this present study, we conducted document research for comparative analysis on a Taekwondo textbook used at the Korea Military Academy and a textbook written by Choi Honghee in 1959, and descriptions on Taekkyeon contained in the Encyclopedia of Physical Education in 1961. As a result, we came to the following conclusion. First, hand techniques described in the ‘Taekkyeon’ parts of the Encyclopedia of Physical Education were influenced by the Taekwondo textbook used at the Korea Military Academy and the textbook written by Choi Honghee. Foot techniques described in the textbook used by the Korea Military Academy consisted of a front kick, a side kick, and a turning kick. Foot techniques contained in Choi Honghee’s textbook (1959, 1960) and in the Encyclopedia of Physical Education were similar to each other. Second, the three books described the models of Korea, China and Japanese. Third, sparring was categorized into a pre-arranged sparring and a free sparring. A pre-arranged sparring was categorized into singles and doubles. Free sparring was allowed only for those who are ‘used to a pre-arranged sparring.’
