Device for measuring the beam current in a linear induction accelerator

A device is described for measuring the beam current in a linear induction accelerator by reference to the current in the primary winding in the accelerating section. The operation is based on simulating the interaction of the beam with the accelerating system. The device provides information on the passage of the beam through the accelerating system without the introduction of additional components into the electron guide. The theoretical scheme of the device is described. Test results are given.
