Mathematical modeling of photovoltaic desalination by electrodialysis

In Tunisia, as in developing countries, the supply problem in drinking water becomes more and more crucial, because of the population growth and of the rise of the standard of living. The desalination of the sea water and the brackish waters is now the answer of request in drinking water. Among the proceeded disputes, the solar distillation is an interesting solution. The objective of this work is to simulation of electro dialysis unit fed by a photovoltaic array to desalt brackish water in MATLAB / SIMULINK environments.
