Sous-réseaux dynamiques pour STAP à faible coût avec antenne active aéroportée

One of major breakthrough brought by AESA for nose combat aircraft radars lies in their capacity to offer antenna architecture with potentially many sub-arrays. Unfortunately as numerous these sub-arrays will be, the more the cost of the radar will increase, with classical architecture connecting one receiver behind each sub-array. This paper presents an antenna architecture able to overcome this cost-driving constraint using a dynamic secondary sub-array regrouping (blinking sub-arrays) based on a static primary numerous sub-array splitting. Demonstration will be done on the basis of the AMSAR antenna splitting and STAP processing for Air-to-Ground operations.
