Integrated Radar and Communication Based on DS-UWB

Tremendous efforts have been devoted to develop the UWB technology for radar and communication applications over the past decades. With the rapidly incremental demand, there is something in exploring of integrated UWB radar and communication system for reducing cost, minimizing the radar cross and probability of intercept, etc. This paper presents an integration system of radar and communication based on direct sequence UWB (DS-UWB). It utilizes different PN code to spread the spectrum of radar and communication data to avoid jamming mutually. The simulation over an ideal AWGN channel shows that the system can work perfectly
