Analysis of errors in the interference method for testing long-focus focusing lenses

The interference method for testing long-focus focusing lenses enables us to measure optical parameters such as focal lengths and wavefront distortions transmitted through the lens. High measurement accuracy is achieved by using a special laser-measurement system (laser tracker) in an autocollimation setup based on a dynamic interferometer. In this study, we identify the main sources of instrument error and determine their correlation with the parameters of the measurement system. The results show that the method achieves a total instrument measurement error on the order of 0.003% of the measured value.
