The time-reversal technology with single sensor or two-sensor array may be applied to target detection and localization effectively, but the localization distance and precision of multi-sensor array is much better than single sensor's.The development and recent situation of the time-reversal technology is presented briefly.The main principle of the time-reversal technology with multi-sensor array is then proved based on the radiate propagation model and multiplicative array principle.Simulation shows that the more sensors be used in TRM,the better the TRM performance.While sea-test data shows that the four-sensor array results in localization precision is 87% with ten kilometer target.The disadvantage of the method is heavy computation burden,which is difficult for real time operation,and,thus limits its practical application.
