SYRIO: A Knowledge-Based Approach to 2-D Robotic Vision

SYRIO (SYmbolic Reasoning on Ideal Objects) is a knowledge-based system whose main activity is to find objects in a bidimensional scene, making use of a “world” of pre-defined objects described in terms of structural, semantic and cognitive features. The system is composed of a searching module, devoted to find an object in the scene, and of a knowledge module, which drives the analysis making and removing hypotheses on the current environment.
