Exponentiation and Second-Order Bounded Arithmetic

Abstract (1) Vi2⊢A(a) iff for some term t:Si2⊢ “2i(a) exists→ A(a)”, a bounded first-order formula, i≥1. (2) Vi2 (resp. V2) is not Πb1-conservative over Si2 (resp. over S2). (3) Any model of V2 not satisfying Exp satisfies the collection scheme BΣ01. (4) V13 is not Πb1-conservative over S2.
