Attribute based salient image extrema detection algorithm

A new salient image extrema detection algorithm applying attribute based morphological analysis is presented. Without the need of image noise filtering, the proposed algorithm can extract effectively salient image extrema by the analysis and valuation of extrema saliency with respect to their morphological attributes. Experimental results show the effectiveness and applicability of our algorithm.
