타이어의 코너링강성이 4륜조향자동차의 조향특성에 미치는 영향

Four-wheel steering systems have been widely investigated in the last ten years as a new approach for improving the dynamic stability and handling performance of vehicle. In this paper, the effects of tire cornering stiffnesses are examined on the steering wheel angle, lateral position, lateral acceleration and yaw velocity of the four-wheel steering vehicle because, besides the four-wheel steering strategies, the tire cornering stiffnesses are the important parameters related to the dynamic stability and handling performance of vehicle. The analysis results are presented based on the ISO test codes such as steady-state cornering and lane change, and the modified understeer gradient representing the steering characteristics of four-wheel steering vehicle is proposed.
