Design of a CMOS Sawtooth-Wave Oscillator Circuit

A Sawtooth-Wave Oscillator Circuit based on 1.2 μm CMOS technology is designed. On being designed, comparator is regarded as a key circuit, meanwhile, the method of constant current source charging and discharging is used. Of course, the design of each component circuit is also explained. The oscillator circuit is emulated by using the tool of Cadence SpectreS. It shows that the oscillating frequency has a good characteristic of linearity. When the power voltage is 5.0 V or so, the frequency is stable, so does it from 27℃ to 55℃. Because of the better performances with the change of appropriate supply voltage and temperature, this Oscillator Circuit can be widely used in many kinds of electronic circuits.
