Study on Collision Behavior of K-joint in Offshore Jacket Platform

In the research on the offshore platform,the tubular joint is a key point.The K-joint adopted widely in the offshore platform structure is investigated.The mechanism of the K-joint under collision loads is studied through the numerical simulation by using the software MSC/Dytran.Several strengthening schemes are compared to the original tubular joint.Results show that the strengthen tendon is efficacious.
