Localized adaptation for energy-aware packet transportation in WDM networks

Localized adaptation strategy with cooperation of sleeping mechanism and lightpath bypass reconfiguration is proposed for energy-saving transport in dynamic IP-over-WDM networks. Analysis and Simulations indicate that total energy consumption is reduced by the novel strategy.
