Characterization of Spatial-Mode Demultiplexer using 1550-nm-band Angularly Multiplexed Volume Holograms

We fabricate and characterize a spatial-mode demultiplexer using 1550-nm-band, 5-mode angularly multiplexed volume holograms. It is confirmed that a degradation of diffraction efficiencies by increasing the number of recorded modes are small.
