Conceptual Data Base Design

This chapter focuses on conceptual data base design. Although a data model has already been made during the application system study (ASS), the data base design is continued at present. Because no attributes of the entities were defined in the ASS and during the information analysis new elementary messages are found, a real system of data must be designed. Data elements are found during the component analysis, whether these must be stored is found in the data cross-verification, and all the subjects are known from information analysis and component description. A real system means that there are no loose ends in the set of data. Because the role of the coordinating data is the coordination of activities in the organization, they should be data that are stored integrally without redundancy and available for all departments, which are coordinated through the use of these common data.
