An apparatus for recording hand movements

An apparatus is described which makes it possible to conduct detailed analyses of hand and finger movements in braille reading. The device records movements in relation to detailed features on the text from below transparent surfaces, synchronously with voice output and cumulative real (1/100sec) time. The apparatus makes it possible to analyse the timing and location of finger movements of the two hands in relation to very small details of the text in continuous prose reading. It has a major application as a didactic aid in training courses for instructors, and in analysing and correcting braille reading problems.
