Reproductivi Management System Using a Modified Commercial Database Soft and Improvent of Reproductive Performance in Japanese Black Population

A reproductive management (RM) system using a commercial datebase software is modified for the reproductive data from small holders fed Japanese black. Analytical data from RM system has been applied to holders as a routine guidances of reproductive management during three years. After modified RM system was used, means of days from calving to first artificial insemination became to be short, such as 102.6 days in 1990,83.9 days in 1991 and 78.0 days in 1992, respectively. Also, a number of reproductive cattle without pregnancy was reduced from 16 (6.6%) in 1991 to 7 (3.5%) in 1992, and particularly, that of the long-term infertile cattle is from 120 (13.8%) to 69 (8.3%).
