Adaptive Series Stabilizer Module for the Grid Connected Inverter under Variable Grid Conditions

This paper proposes an adaptive series stabilizer module (AS2M) to automatically shape the grid impedance to guarantee the stability of the GCI with different grid condition. Since the AS2M is in series with the GCI and the grid, it only needs to burden very small power. In addition, only a very simple current control loop is employed by the AS2M without any additional phase locked loop (PLL) or voltage controller. Furthermore, the AS2M can be treated as an independent stabilizer module and do not need to get any informtion from the grid or the GCI. Finally, an LCL type GCI is tested to verify the correctness of the proposed AS2M.
