AN INTEGRATED APPROACH FOR PRODUCT SERVICE SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT: II. EVALUATION PHASE

Product service system (PSS) contains service as well as product and is considered as an important means to achieve higher level eco-efficiency. This study proposes an integrated PSS development approach with two phases: design and evaluation. This paper focuses on evaluation phase while a companion paper presented the methods in design phase. The evaluation methods can provide market response, triple bottom line performance and life cycle assessment for either new PSS design or existing PSS. The evaluation with three methods is clearly presented step by step along with illustrative examples. It could be used by companies or consultants that are interested in PSS development or evaluation. Government can also use the methods for making appropriate policies.
