A Comparison of Bridgeless-Boost and Halfbridge-Boost PFC Topologies in the Continuous Conduction Mode

By omitting diode bridge rectifier,the Bridgeless-Boost and Halfbridge-Boost topologies in the continuous conduction mode(CCM) can reduce on-state loss,and enhance the circuit efficiency around 1% than the conventional Boost-PFC.The mechanism of common mode noise EMI in Bridgeless-Boost Topology is analyzed.A new control strategy for Halfbridge-Boost Topology is proposed,and is validated by simulation and test.
