Study on HPLC fingerprint of Rhizoma Belamcandae

Objective:To study the HPLC fingerprints and establish a sensitive and specific method for the quality control of Rhizoma Belameandae from different origins. Methods:The samples were separated on an Agilent Zorbax SB-C_(18) column(4.6 mm×250 mm,5μm) with the mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile and 0.4%acetic acid water solution by gradient elution. The flow rate was 1 mL·min~(-1);wavelength was 269 nm.Results:There were 14 common peaks in the HPLC fingerprints of 15 samples.By comparision of the retention time of chemical standards,7 peaks were identified. Conclusions:Although the HPLC fingerprints of the Rhizoma Belamcandae from different origins were varied slightly, tire established HPLC fingerprints can be used for the quality control of Rhizoma Belamcandae.
