A novel specific emitter identification method based on radio frequency fingerprints

Radio frequency fingerprints (RF fingerprints) extraction is a technology that can identify the unique radio transmitter at the physical level by measuring external feature to match with feature library. RF fingerprints is the reflection of differences between hardwares of transmitters, and it contains rich detail characteristics of internal components within transmitter. RF fingerprints has been widely applied to enhance the security of intelligent communication. In this paper, a novel RF fingerprints extraction method based on non-Gaussianity is proposed. A signal acquisition system is used to collect the signals, and the performance of the proposed method has been evaluated from experiment data. The results of visual analysis and classification demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposal.
