Sea scour control systems Some considerations for use

Seabed Scour Control Mats were originally designed by Seabed Scour Control Systems (SSCS) of Great Britain for use in the North Sea oil rig industry to protect pipeline installations, fixed platforms, and mobile rigs, from the effects of scour. The system can also be used in shore protection schemes, river flow control and maritime archaeological environments. Once in place, the system is permanent and operates without the need for maintenance.
