Automatic check synchronizing equipment using static relaying principles

The paper describes circuit arrangements for automatic check synchronizing equipment using static relaying principles which have already been used with success in the field of protective gear. Existing commercial equipment is not entirely static, nor is any attempt being made so far to utilize the properties of transistors in this particular field. It is shown in the paper that all the necessary functions of voltage regulation, phase and slip measuements can be carried out successfully using these elements and principles. The paper includes representative test results and a summary of performance.
