An intelligent pitch angle control of wind turbine

This work describes an intelligent improved fuzzy control of wind turbine through pitch angle. The control is performed at different wind speeds which hold steady output generator and accomplished aerodynamic braking effectively. The proposed control algorithm protects the system from different harms in high wind speed region and sustained variations of nominal output power. The performance of proposed controller is compared with proportional integral controller for the real measured weather characteristics and load variations at Islamabad, Pakistan. Simulations work indicates the superiority of proposed controller in terms of feasibility, overshoot and settling time.
