Bilinear model-based compensation strategy, under special reliability assessments for parallel connected voltage-type power converters

Applications based on parallel connected voltage type converters are increasingly more popular in areas where high power, with a reliable and smooth operation, is a fundamental factor for generating optimal conditions for interconnected power systems. Moreover, we show that a larger domain for control is possible and, based on a new bilinear structure, a compensation method is proposed to accomplish typical reliability requirements for power supply systems: good harmonic content for the phase currents in the AC side, while keeping the DC voltage constant at the desired level. The direct relation between these two system characteristics is proven, which is a major accomplishment for generalizing the method for any power supply system based on AC-DC (or DC-AC) conversion.
