ELECTROCHEMICAL CHLORIDE REMOVAL AND PROTECTION OF CONCRETE BRIDGE COMPONENTS: FIELD TRIALS

Electrochemical chloride removal procedures developed in the laboratory for rehabilitation of concrete bridge structures were executed in field validation trials. Field trials were completed on an Ohio bridge deck, a Florida marine column substructure, a New York land column substructure, and an Ontario bridge abutment. All four trials were successful. This report discusses the results of these trials.
