Design of Finger Vein Capturing Device Based on ARM and CMOS Array

C73 that ordinary finger vein capturing device can't record whole finger due to measure distance and narrow viewing angle, a new system is proposed to capture finger vein images from multi-angle efficiently and accurately. This system consists of ARM microprocessor, NIR(near-infrared) LEDs which serve as illumination, CMOS arrays which capture finger vein images from six different locations, and PC displaying vein images. This paper describes the hardware design of light source module, imaging module and acquisition control module. Application based on Linux and system work flow is elaborated as well. The experimental results show that this capturing device is accurate, efficient and stable.
