DYNAMICS AND CONTROL OF A DUAL TURBINE-GENERATOR SYSTEM FOR HTGR POWER PLANT

Summary A dual turbine-generator system for a prototypical 1100 Mw HTGR power plant is considered. A combination of linear multivariable systems analysis techniques and nonlinear simulation are used to investigate system dynamic behavior and governor design. Specific results are reported for load following operation in the unbalanced alignment in which one turbine-generator is shut down.
