A NOTE ON ASSESSING THE DETERIORATION OF THIN WOOD VENEERS DURING WEATHERING

Weight loss was used to assess the deterioration of thin wood veneers during weathering. Significant weight losses resulting from degradation of the lignocellulosic matrix rather than from losses of watersoluble extractives occurred during exposure.
