Nonlinear optimal-variable-aim excitation control strategy for voltage stability improvement

This paper proposes a new type of control strategy using optimal-variable-aim excitation control strategy for improvement of power system dynamic stability. When a generator transformer's bus voltage drops caused by serious disturbance and voltage stability is in danger, this control strategy can help to lift the system's voltage level and improve system voltage stability. The analysis and simulation results with a one machine-infinite bus system are presented in this paper.
