Non-numeric preference relations and their satisfaction degrees for pairwise fuzzy group-decision making

This article discusses gradual improvements to pairwise group-decision making based on fuzzy preference relations. A single-points numeric method and a semi-numeric, i.e. linguistic labels representation with fuzzy sets computation method are summarized. Then, degrees of satisfaction to the preference values are defined and accommodated to the model. This allows the decision makers to express the corresponding satisfaction degrees to the preference values. The proposed method is verified and applied to solving fuzzy group-decision making cases. The results are observed and the possibilities to further improve the method are discussed.
