A Band-Pass Filter-Integrated Switch Using Field-Effect Transistors and Its Power Analysis

A design approach for a new band-pass filter-integrated-switch implemented using passive field-effect transistor (FET) is proposed for the first time. This design approach integrates the switch and quarter wavelength bandpass filter functions into a single component and thus simplifies the conventional T/R system designs. A 1-GHz hybrid band-pass single pole single throw (SPST) filter-integrated switch using FET is implemented to verify the design concept. Moreover, the power analysis for a passive shunt FET is also investigated, and the measured results indicate a good agreement compared with the theoretical analysis
