Precision forging represents a process which is suitable for producing components with a high specific strength in a high quantities. However, the economic use of this process requires the minimisation of the development costs. The aim of this project is the development of an advanced simulation model based on the Finite-ElementMethod (FEM). The model is to meet the specific requirements which the precision forging process imposes on the simulation with the aim of increasing the accuracy.
